Man’s naked body has appeared in art since time immemorial. But its perception has not always been the same. From a metaphor of heroic behaviour in the art of Antiquity to discovering the artist’s own self in contemporary art, the theme has undergone various stages of transformation. Through this new exhibition, the Museum of Contemporary Art presents these stages to us from the period around 1900 until the present.
