(Lechner, az alkotó géniusz)
Museum of Applied Arts, Budapest
Until 31 May 2015
Ödön Lechner is one of the most outstanding Hungarian architects. The most characteristic, secessionist element of his work is the use of decorative Hungarian folk art motives. On the 100th anniversary of the artist’s death, the Museum of Applied Arts presents his artistic achievements. Visitors can see architectural realisations on archival and contemporary photographs, as well as the original building projects and drawings of architectural details and ornaments. The exhibition is accompanied by a richly illustrated catalogue in Hungarian and English.
