The poster is an ever‑present genre in Franciszek Starowieyski’s work. He created posters for over half a century, interpreting cinema, plays and operas. The National Museum in Krakow presents a selection of the artist’s movie posters made in the earliest period of his artistic activity – the 1950s and 1960s. The exhibition aims at recollecting the achievements of Starowieyski, one of the most popular polish painters, who passed away four years ago.
